Jeffrey Dean Morgan To Return To Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes has confirmed the rumour that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be returning to the show, reports USA Today. Fans will remember that Denny Duquette died after an apparently life-saving operation, leaving Izzie bereft and many viewers with a big pile of soggy tissues.

Rhimes told the paper, "We're heading on a journey. Viewers] are in the middle and don't have a map, so they can feel lost. But I know where we're going. For me, it's about looking at the larger picture."

So far, so non-sensical. As for how he can come back, having died tragically at the end of season 2, Rhimes said, "Just a reminder: He's not a ghost, and we should all remember what his appearance means."

David Caruso's Stalker Jailed

David Caruso can rest easier at night. An Austrian woman who sent him a death threat has receieved a custodial sentence.

According to What's On TV, the fortysomething, whom a court-appointed psychiatrist said had a "profound personality disorder," has been sentenced to seven months emprisonment in a secure psychiatric unit.

The prosuction alleged that the woman - identified only as Heidemarie S - threatened the CSI: Miami star's life in 2007 after he refused to respond to over 100 requests by letter for an autograph.

She went on the run, missing two court dates, and was finally arrested in Mexico last month on immigration charges and deported back to Austria for trial. Her lawyer, Andreas Grabenweger, said that his client will appeal the ruling.

Meanwhile, Caruso has a few legal difficulties of his own - his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his two children is suing him! (See our story.)

David Caruso Sued By Ex

David Caruso may be the lead in CSI: Miami, but according to his former girlfriend he has far from a sunny disposition.

His ex-partner Liza Marquez, whom he left while she was pregnant with his second child, is far from happy with the star. She sued Caruso yesterday (April 9) for fraud, breach of contract/settlement agreement, domestic abuse and intentional infliction of emotional distress, reports Radar Online.

Marquez claims that he owes her $1 million after promising to provide for her and that he was physically abusive during her pregnancy. She alleges that the jealous Caruso once verbally abused her for four hours about her "cheating", and accused her of wanting to sleep with "Star Wars" actor Billy Dee Williams.

According to Marquez, he once upset her so much that she vomited, and spread rumours that she was mentally ill. She also purports that the star had a huge collection of 1970s porn stashed in his bedroom!

Caruso, naturally, is not taking the accusations lying down. A representitive for Caruso contacted Radar Online with the following rebuttal:

"Last month David became concerned about the welfare of his children and sought court assistance to redefine David's and Liza's custodial schedules," the rep said.

"It now appears that Liza has decided to retaliate by raising false claims against David, which David finds unfortunate since these claims will divert the parties' and the court's attention away from the best interests of the children."

The former couple have a three year old son, Marquez Anthony, and a daughter of 17 months, Paloma Raquel.

Twins For Charlie Sheen And Wife

Charlie Sheen now has two little men of his own!

According to Yahoo! News, the Two and a Half Men star and his wife, Brooke Mueller Sheen, became the parents of twin babies Bob and Max on Saturday night.

The couple's publicist reported that Sheen is "ecstatic" and the new mother is "doing great".

Sheen has two young daughters by his previous marriage to Denise Richards, with whom he shares custody, and an older girl with a former girlfriend.

Mariska Hargitay Hospitalised

From the SVU to A&E, Mariska Hargitay, the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star returned to hospital yesterday morning.

The actress checked back in "after experiencing some discomfort relating to her earlier lung condition," said actress' rep Leslie Sloane Zelnik. "She is undergoing routine tests and expects to be feeling better soon."

E! Online tells us that the former Emmy winner returned to her job recently after a brief hospitalisation at the beginning of the year, after suffering pneumothorax (a partially collapsed lung.)

According to reports, Mariska Hargitay was working on the set of her NBC show all day yesterday and waited until filming was complete before being taken to the hospital. Production on the show is not expected to be affected while Hargitay recovers.

Let's hope the actress recovers fast. Any wishes of well-being you'd like to add?

The CW has landed a pair of famous names for two of its forthcoming pilots. You may not recognise their faces, however...

Kate Cassidy, daughter of actor and producer David Cassidy, is the second resident of Melrose Place 2.0 to be announced. Meanwhile Steve McQueen's grandson, Steve R. McQueen, has been cast as Jeremy in the Vampire Diaries.

Wendy Richard Dies

Wendy Richard, who dominated EastEnders for nearly 22 years as fearful Fowler matriarch, Pauline, has died aged 65.

Richard's agent, Keven Francis, confirmed that the much-loved actress, who had been terminally ill with cancer, has passed away.

"She was incredibly brave and retained her sense of humour right to the end," he told the BBC.

He said that the star spent her final moments in the Harley Street clinic in London, with long-term partner John Burns, whom she married last Autumn, by her side.

Richard told the The Sunday Express last year that she discovered the disease had returned at her usual annual check-up. She added that she had already planned her funeral and written her will.

The actress first came to the attention of TV audiences as Joyce Harker in 1960s soap The Newcomers. She went on to appear in Carry On Matron and sitcoms such as Dad's Army, Up Pompeii! and The Likely Lads, before landing one of her best known roles - Miss Brahms in Are You Being Served?

It is as Albert Square's indomitable Pauline Fowler that she will be best remembered, however. One of the original EastEnders cast, she entertained viewers for an incredible 21 years as the misery-guts mother of the Fowler clan. Only Adam Woodyatt, who plays her on-screen nephew Ian Beale, has surpassed her record run.

In Pauline she created one of soap's most iconic characters. Dowdy, determined and dogmatic, the unhappy laundrette worker was one of best battleaxes on the box. She did, however, have a softer side, which came out most clearly in her affection for husband Arthur. Indeed, it was the writers' decision to have the character remarry that prompted Richard's departure from the soap in 2006:

"I left because I wasn't happy," revealed the actress in 2008. "Also, I couldn't believe in what they wanted me to do and unless I can find some truth in what I am doing, I cannot play it.

"Pauline remarrying was wrong. Some women never remarry. My mother never remarried after Daddy died. I always had it in my heart that Arthur was Pauline's husband and that was that."

Like most of the best on-screen meanies, Richard bore little resemblance to her TV persona. "I am not a hard person. I cry very easily and my feelings get hurt," she said of herself.

Her former EastEnders co-star, Shane Ritchie, who played alongside her as Alfie Moon until 2005, said he was, "absolutely devastated" by news of her death.

"I send all my love to John and her immediate family," he added.

Presenter Dale Winton, a long standing acquaintance of the star, said that he was "very saddened to hear the news", describing her as "a real fighter and actually a very kind and funny lady in her own right" He added: "My thoughts are with her family, she will be missed."

Mark Thompson, director general of the BBC, said: "Wendy Richard is going to be incredibly missed by the BBC and by our audiences."

In 2000, Richard was awarded the MBE for services to television and in 2007 she was given a British Soap Award for Lifetime Achievement for her role in EastEnders.

Fans Find David Caruso's Stalker

Evidently you can pick up a thing or two about policework watching CSI: Miami...

Fans of the detective show took a leaf out of Horatio Crane's book and hunted down David Caruso's stalker - via her laptop's web connection. According to The Sun, they then informed the police who who arrested Heidemarie Schnitzer, 41, in the Mexican resort of Tijuana. Bet she wishes she'd refrained from surfing the internet now!

Austrian native Schnitzer had been on the run since a judge issued an international warrent for her arrest in November (see our story). She is accused of sending the CSI star over 100 letters, and threatening the life of him and his partner when he failed to give her an autograph.

One missive, which bore a Miami postmark, read: "I will locate you and your ugly Latina tramp [girlfriend Liza Marquez] and kill you."

Should Shnitzer be convicted she faces extradition and up to three years in jail in Austria.

We're glad Caruso and Marquez have got to see a more positive side of their fan base. And to note that watching TV is obviously not, as the culture snobs would have it, without educational merit! Have you ever picked up any useful tips from watching the goggle box?

Who's Earning Less Than His Predecessor?

Matt Smith's profile may soon rise as high as David Tennant's, but his bank balance won't.

The youngster will fill Tennant's Doctor Who shoes when he quits the iconic role in 2010. While Tennant is reportedly earning a sweet million per year, however, Smith will get the same amount over five. According to The Sun, he's signed a three year contract, extendable by two, with an annual salary of �200,000.

Apparently the Who producers want Smith to stick around, unlike his predecessors Tennant and Christopher Eccleston, who quit after just three and one series respectively.

"Bosses don't want Matt doing a David and leaving when things are going great," a source told the newspaper.

The BBC declined to comment on Smith's contract, but said: "All new deals are done with the economic climate in mind."

Granted, Smith is a virtual unkown while Tennant was already a popular name when he took on the iconic part. But we can't help wondering if the even the Timelord himself isn't immune to the credit crunch. Perhaps he should hop in the TARDIS and fast forward out of the recession...

Life Star Sarah Shahi Is Pregnant

Sarah Shahi, the stunning star of the TV Series Life is four months pregnant, TV Guide reveals, although her reps have yet to confirm the report.

Shahi's happy news, however, spells potentially sad tidings Life fans, as producers will have to reduce her role in order to accomodate the pregnancy. Rumour has it that her on screen character, Dani Reese, will be exiled to an off-screen FBI-LAPD task force, giving the actress some much needed down time.

While we of course extend our congratulations to Shahi, we can't help but fret over how Charlie Crews (Damian Lewis) will cope without his sassy partner! Any suggestions as to who should fill in for Reese in her absence?

Fringe's Anna Torv and Mark Valley Get Married!

Former on-screen lovers Anna Torv, 30, and Mark Valley, 44, have apparently been hiding a behind-the-scenes love affair.

According a Fringe source, the actors got hitched over the holidays. The insider told the LA Times' Dish Rag that the couple recently announced the good news to the cast and crew now that Valley is due to leave the show.

The couple met on the set of the X Files style paranormal conspiracy theory series. Let's hope for Torv's sake that Valley doesn't resemble his duplicitous character, Pattern traitor Agent John Scott!

What with the numerous Gossip Girl hook ups, and Dexter brother and sis, Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter recently tying the knot (see our story), it seems that on-set romance is all the rage in Hollywood. Which is your favourite TV pairing?

Hilary Duff To Haunt Ghost Whisperer

While times may be hard in Hollywood, Hilary Duff evidently has no employment worries for the moment. Hot on the heels of the news that she's to star in film The Story of Bonnie and Clyde (see our story), Zap2It reports she's netted a guest role on NBC's Ghost Whisperer.

Duff will play Morgan Jeffries, a "beautiful woman of mystery" who seems to be tied up in the untimely demise of a man killed by a freak accident, in an episode due to air Stateside on April 10. The appearance will be the first fruit of the talent deal she signed with NBC in November.

The singer is set to tackle her first leading part in a prime-time series in the network's new series Barely Legal. The pilot, based on the true story of Kathleen Holtz, will centre on an 18-year-old who passes the California bar exam and becomes the state's youngest attorney (see our story).

Meryl Streep To 30 Rock!

Ah, he's knows how to pick his moment that Alec Baldwin!

According to Gatecrasher, the 30 Rock star took advantage of his fellow SAG award winner Meryl Streep's good mood at Sunday night's after-party to invite her to appear on the show. Apparently Baldwin interrupted the actress's celbratory "dance-athon" to make the guest-request - and the jubilant Streep agreed.

"Meryl was delighted with the idea of appearing on the show," a well-placed insider told the website. "She said yes immediately."

Even on a show known for landing great guest-stars (Jennifer Aniston and Oprah Winfrey have already turned up this season), Streep would be a big scoop. What kind of role would you like to see her tackle on 30 Rock?

EastEnders' Lacey Turner Kicked Out Of Club

Lacey Turner lived up to her character Stacey's bad gal reputation last Saturday, if The Sun is to be believed.

According to the tabloid, the EastEnders' star was thrown out of a 24 in London's Soho for brawling. The 20-year-old apparently took umbrage at a group of fellow clubbers sitting at her unoccupied VIP table.

"Lacey came over and started shouting at us to move," one of the girls, Emma Roc, 23, told the paper.

"I recognised her from EastEnders and remember thinking she was just like her mouthy character."

Turner's pals then joined in the fray and Roc, who was celebrating a birthday with six girlfriends, says one of them scratched her on the face:

"When we got up to go, a male friend of hers started calling us abusive names. Lacey jumped in and put her finger in front of my face, swearing threats. I tried to explain we didn't know it was a private area, but a girl joined in and her nail scraped round my face, leaving a mark across my cheek."

She noted: "They were behaving like drunken thugs."

Following the incident, Turner and her group were asked to leave the club.

However, an EastEnders' spokesman refuted the report last night, insisting that "Lacey was at 24 on Saturday, however she was not aware of, nor involved in, any incident - nor was she thrown out the club."

Ex-EastEnder Robert Kazinsky Writing Sitcom

Sean Slater may have had an icy exit from Albert Square, but it's warmed up the creative juices of actor Robert Kazinsky no end.

What's On TV reports that the ex-EastEnder has switched from reading to writing scripts:

"I'm currently writing a TV series," Kazinsky told The Grimsby Telegraph. "I think it's going to be good - it's inspired by shows like Sex and the City."

He added: "I'm a better writer than an actor. But acting helps to pay the bills and you have to be realistic."

That's all very well Sean, but it seems a shame to hide a pretty face...

Mad Men's Elizabeth Moss Engaged To Saturday Night Live Star

Fortunately for Elizabeth Moss, she seems to be a lot more lucky in love than her dowdy alter-ego, 1950s ad gal Peggy Olson.

The Mad Men star has just got engaged to Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen. "It happened just a few days ago," the 26-year-old told USA Weekend magazine on Thursday. "It's private, so I don't want to share the details of how it happened, but I will say it was perfect."

Moss and her 42-year-old beau, had been keeping their relationship on the down-low, although in a recent interview with the New York Times, Armisen referred mentioned hanging out with his girlfriend "Lizzie" on Broadway during her production of Speed the Plow.

Maybe now Moss can work on persuading Matthew Weiner to spread a little love Peggy's way in the forthcoming third season of Mad Men...

ER's Parminder Nagra Ties The Knot

We're used to seeing Parminder Nagra, aka ER's Dr. Neela Rasgotra, sporting a white coat. But the actress slipped into more festive gear last Saturday to marry her partner of 7 years, photographer James Stenson.

According to People, Nagra, 33 and Stentson, 34, opted for the Sikh wedding ceremony "Anand Karaj", which translates as "blissful event or occasion." The couple are expecting their first child this summer.

While we're very happy for the newlyweds, we're even more excited at the upcoming plot developments for Nagra's ER character, by THE now longest-serving remaining member of County General. ER producer John Wells recently revealed that the star's pregnancy will be written into the hospital drama. Which just leave's one question... Who will be Neela's babydaddy? Dexter Star Marries On-Screen Sis

Dexter has married his sister!

To put it more clearly, if less sensationally, Michael C. Hall, the actor who plays TV's favourite serial killer? has just got hitched to Jennifer Carpenter, aka on-screen sibling Deborah.

Hall's rep told the Associated Press that the pair eloped in California on New Year's Eve. They had been dating on the down-low for about a year and a half. According to the AP, the bride carried her grandfather's wedding ring attached toa bouquet of white roses.

Hall, 37, and Carpenter, 29, went public for the first time yesterday when they walked the red carpet together at the Golden Globes. The couple have just finished filming season 3 of Dexter, so they should have some breathing space to settle into married life.

We're not sure why - even on the show the two aren't blood relations (Dexter was adopted) - but we're slightly weirded out by this news. What about you?

Stephanie March's Back To Special Victims Unit

Alexandra Cabot is out of witness protectoin and storming back onto to box!

According to the Associated Press, Stephanie March is reprising her role as the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit prosecutor for six episodes, the first of which airs Stateside on February 15. The character weathered four seasons on the show, but she was forced into hiding in 2003 after testifying against a drug cartel.

March, who compared the show to an "old flame", has reprised the role a couple of times since: once in a 2005 episode, followed by a 2006 appearance in spin off series Conviction.

"Every time I run into it I think, 'Hmmm, what if?'" said the actress. "I look forward to spending some time working with a production that has always been so rewarding for me."

Executive producer Neal Baer added that Cabot has now had sufficient time to recover from past traumas and is ready to rejoin her SVU colleagues. She'll fill in when current prosecutor Kim Greylek (Michaela McManus) is away on assignment in Washington, D.C.

Tori Spelling To 90210!

Donna is set for another spin around the 90210 block!

That's right kids, Entertainment Weekly tells us that Tori Spelling is a bottle-blonde hairsbreadth away from sealing a deal to appear in the Beverly Hills, 90210 off-shoot. According to a 90210 show rep the star is in "final negotiations" to appear for a multi-episode storyline.

Fellow graduates of West Beverly High, Brenda (Shannen Doherty) and Kelly (Jennie Garth) have already turned up in the spin off's freshman season. So why so late to the party, Tori? Various sources have speculated that the actress couldn't stand to share a set with Doherty, while others insist that her fee was the real stumbling block. At any rate, Brenda Walsh has shot her final scenes for the season, so it looks like the drama will be confined to on-camera for the moment.

As yet there are no details as to the exact form Spelling's comeback will take. What do you think Donna's been up to over the past 9 years?
